ABERDEEN LEA — Jackie Pryor ’04 D 34" M Re 5 3/4" 4 to 5 way branching, 42 buds. Exotic sangria tipped petals and sepals accent the wide open canary yellow centers with a spilling deep green throat. The heavily ruffled flowers, wire edged gold, have a corduroy texture and substance of sculpted wax. Always opens flat to the throat early in the day and lightly recurved.

BLIND SPOT — Jeff Pryor ’05 T 34" ML Re 5 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" 5 way branching with 40 buds often more.  The rich velvety black red petals, much darker than pictured, hold all day in the sun.  Huge tree like scapes nicely seperate the well spaced blooms above medium green foliage.  A bud builder.

CALADY — Jackie Pryor ’05 D 26" M Re 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" 3 way branching with 24 buds.  Having bright and pure rich colors of rosy salmon, a slightly darker eye, light veining, and a lighter midrib.  The diamond dusted blooms show a lighter edge and the form full peony styled blooms always opening well, even on the coldest of mornings, add a look of class.  Reblooming usually right after the initial flush makes for near continual bloom.

CHAMPAGNE DAY — Jackie Pryor ’02 D 30" EM Re 4 1/2" 3 way branching, 18+ buds.  Creamy blend of apricot, yellow and pink.  Has a large and clear rosy wine eye with a sawtooth gold edge, a rosy wine picotee and green throat.  Full and consistent peony form.

CHILDISH DREAM — Jackie Pryor ’05 D 27" ML 6 1/2" x 3" x 2" 5 way branching with 35 or more buds.  The clear and clean light pink diamond dusted blooms have a very strong fragrance, a small green throat and just a hint of a light rose eyezone.  Looping pie crust ruffles cover the creped textured and fully formed peony blooms.  Heavy scapes, widely spaced huge blooms and dark green foliage mark this spectacular cultivar.

COOL MOON RISING — Jackie Pryor ’02 D 34" M 5 1/4" 3 to 4 way branching, 25+ buds.  With the clearest shades of rosy lavender, it has a creped texture and slate blue watermark eye that matches a wire edge.  A faint chalk midrib compliments the eye and edge as it fades to white, then into the large green throat.

COUNTER FORCE — Jeff Pryor ’05 T 32" ML 5 1/2" x 3" x 1 3/4" 4 way branching with 38 buds.  Royal burgundy purple is surrounding a watermark eye.  The petals have a bright green throat, a silvery white edge and clean white petal backs, a mark of distinction in our garden and a hint to the true clarity of color.  Has huge strong scapes and perfectly spaced blooms.

DAKOTA SUNSHINE — Jackie Pryor ’04 D 22" M Re 5 1/4" 3 to 4 way branching, 22+ buds.  Chrome yellow petals erupt with an iridescent sunset yellow throat spilling out well over half way onto the petals; covering most of the petaloid tissue.  The bright green throat is mostly obscured by the always full cockatoo formed double.

DUAL NATURE — Jackie Pryor ’05 D 36" M 4" x 2" x 1 1/2" 4 way branching with 40 to 50 buds.  Creamy petals with a bright blueberry purple eye and picotee edges are carried by strong scapes well positioned above the blue green foliage.  The informal form consistently lies between peony and cockatoo in this hybridizing breakthrough.

FLAMENCO LADY — Jeff Pryor ’05 T 38" ML Re 6" x 2 3/4" x 1 7/8" with 4 way branching and at least 30 buds.  Heavily diamond dusted pink tinted cream petals have a bright green throat and bold purple eye.  A sharp wire picotee matches the eye and outlines the large well ruffled and sometimes pleated, petals.  Always open early with a slight recurve.  A bud builder.

INTENT ON CHIVALRY — Jeff Pryor ’04 T 32" M Re 6" 5 to 6 way branching, 32+ buds.  Richest deep rose magenta blooms are well in proportion with the medium green foliage and always open flat for the morning sun.  Clarity of color,  white petal backs, an intense watermark eye with a huge bright green throat and pie–crust ruffling mark this flower.

IT’S A SUMMERTIME THING — Jeff Pryor ’05 T 30" M Re 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 13/4" 4 to 5 way branching with 45+ buds.  Cool pinkish lavender petals have a strong purple eye, a matching picotee edge and are outlined by a metallic silver edge.  Starting in mid season these strong well branched scapes continue blooming one after another up to frost.  A bud builder.

LASER BLADE — Jackie Pryor ’04 D 27" EM 4 1/2" 4 to 5 way branching, 36 (or more) buds.  Brilliant cherry rose red self with white petal backs and tapered white mid ribs highlight a green / gold throat.  The form can be as pictured or extremely round and even more ruffled depending on the weather.

MOUNTAIN LACE — Jackie Pryor ’03 D 33" M Re 5 1/2" 3 to 4 way branching with 28+ buds (bud builder). An incredibly clean color of light lavender with slight rosy tint and darker veins surrounded by a pure white sculpted edge and white petal backs.  It has a chalky watermark eye accentuated by midribs that transition from smoky blue lavender to white above a bright green throat.

PEACH RUM FESTIVAL — Jackie Pryor ’04 D 38" VL Re 5 1/2" 5 way branching, 28 buds.  An extremely late daylily that starts blooming in July here, to August 31st in Canada.  It seems the further north it goes, the better it grows, blooms, and reblooms!  Diamond dusted deep straw to light peach selfed flowers with a Peony form. Guaranteed northern hardy!

PERSIMMON SMOOTHIE — Jeff Pryor ’02 T 26" ML 4 3/4" 3 way branching, 28+ buds.  Light creamy persimmon orange with a coral eye and edge.  This early morning opener has heavy substance and subtle contrasting colors.  The blooms are very consistent, and are huge in character and presence.

POWDER PUFF BLUSH — Jackie Pryor ’03 D 38" M Re 6" 3 to 4 way branching, 38–40 buds or more!  Soft pinkish lavender with a large whitish to cream yellow throat that transitions to green at its heart with a faint halo.  Hose–in–hose to Peony form that blooms typically at near 8" dia. despite the registration.

PURPLE MOUND — Jackie Pryor ’02 D 25" EM 4 1/2" 4 to 5 way branching with 38+ buds.  Clear grape soda purple colored self with white petal backs, a triangular yellow to green throat and blooms just above the foliage.

RANDOM CONTROL — Jackie Pryor ’05 D 24" M Re 6 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 1 3/8" (3.65:1 to 3.8:1) 6 to 7 way branching with 45 buds.  A huge chartreuse green star shaped throat spills out onto the petals as it cuts through the large purple chevron eye.  A stark white mid rib compliment the clear maroon purple of the blooms that show as lighter grayed lavender ruffles, surrouning the petal and sepal edges.  Has heavy scapes, clear complex colors and twisting –  curly forms.

REGAL ATTIRE — Jackie Pryor ’04 D 27" M Re 5 1/2" 4 way branching, 27+ buds.  Regal rose purple petals and sepals adorned with lavender to white edges up to 1/2" wide, extending the full circumference of both.  It has darker veining, a delicious watermark eye, a brilliant chartreuse throat.  Blooms are positioned proportionately above the medium green foliage.

REVA — Jeff Pryor ’05 T 32" M Re 5 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 1 3/4" 4 and 5 way branching with 47+ buds.  Sumptuous cream sickle petals with a huge watermelon eye and edge, reblooming often four to five times per season.  Very strong, widely branched scapes well support the heavy substanced flowers with excellent color clarity, sunfastness, and form.  Perfection in form (an EMO), plant habit, and foliage make this one of the best plants we have, bar none!

SHOWBIZ KID — Jeff Pryor ’02 T 36" M Re 5 1/2" 4 to 5 way branching, 38+ buds, a bud builder.  It’s orange tinted to smooth yellow with a bold maroon eye and edge.  Often has two or more blooms open at a time.  The substance is heavy, yet the flowers never fail to open fully while consistently reblooming.

SPRING BLING — Jackie Pryor ’06 Diploid #029 35" M Re 5" x 2 5/8" x 1 7/8" 4 to 5 way branching, 25 to 30 buds.  A small yet brilliant grass green throat this self illuminated sunny morning yellow shines with warmth and enthusiasm calling to the day and to all who see it.  Even on the coldest of mornings or in the worst of weather SPRING BLING never fails to form a beautiful and full peony style bloom at the crack of dawn.  Having an easily apparent gold edge, seldom seen in the diploids, never mind dip doubles, SPRING BLING is a giant step forward in breeding efforts.  Wide petals and blunt sepals add to the list of fine accolades that speak for this extraordinary plant in addition to the superior plant habit, graceful foliage, and huge garden presence.  The enthusiasm this flower exudes is simply impossible to capture in film or print.  Described by those in the know as “perfect” double; with an aura of electric colors an ecstatic personality catching the eye from afar, SPRING BLING is anything but just another yellow daylily!

SWEETER THAN HONEY — Jeff Pryor ’04 T 34" 28" E Re 5 1/4" 4 way branching, 32+ buds.  Petals of amber honey are crimped and pleated with folds to the deep green throat.  With three dimensional sculpting it always opens well, and is accentuated by a strong Mayan Sun multi–colored eye, a gold edge, and heavy diamond dusting.  Strong feelings of bright cheerful and luscious fruit with spring time freshness surround.

TRIBAL COUNCIL — Jackie Pryor ’05 D 32" EE Re 5 3/4" 5 way branching with up to 45 red tinted buds.  The darkest Winsor red, a velvety overlay and a green throat.  It blooms very early season, often two weeks before Stella De Oro and is followed by as many as six sets of scapes.  The flowers typically have 15 serrated petal segments in a hose in hose form.
